What Chapter Studies are
Chapter Studies are made for the big uploads that usually feel impossible to revise: textbooks, long PDFs, course packs, and dense lecture manuals. Studieasy keeps the structure of the material intact, so you do not have to fight one huge pile of questions. You get a clean path through the book, one chapter at a time.
How chapters are found
When a PRO user uploads a large enough document, Studieasy looks for a real chapter structure before generation starts. It first checks the PDF outline when available, then looks for chapter titles and heading patterns in the extracted text. Small or noisy sections can be merged so each chapter has enough substance to become a useful practice session.
How questions are generated
Once chapters are detected, Studieasy generates inside each chapter instead of asking the AI to reason over the whole book at once. Questions are tagged back to their chapter, grounded in the source chunks, and built as a mixed bank of formats so each chapter can stand on its own as a proper study block.
How Chapter Studies behave in the app
In your workspace, a Chapter Study opens as a chapter list. Pick a chapter to start a focused session, or play the whole book when you want broader exam-style recall. Summary Quest also respects the chapter structure: choose the chapter you want, generate the summary when you need it, and review the exact part of the material you are trying to lock in.
Why it feels different from a normal study set
A normal study set is great for focused files. A Chapter Study is built for momentum across a bigger source. You can finish one chapter, feel progress, move to the next, and come back later without losing your place in a giant undifferentiated bank. It turns “I need to study the whole book” into “I can handle the next chapter.”
PRO only, because it does more work
Chapter Studies are PRO only because they run a heavier generation pipeline: chapter detection, per-chapter generation, chapter tagging, and on-demand chapter summaries. The payoff is a study experience that is much better suited to serious course material and long exam prep.
