This policy explains how Studieasy collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the app and website.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: user ID, name, email, and authentication metadata.
  • Study content: uploaded files, generated questions, study sessions, and tutor chat messages.
  • Usage data: interaction events, feature usage, and performance data needed to operate the service.
  • Subscription data: plan status, entitlement details, and billing state from our subscription provider.

3. How We Use Data

  • Provide core product features (study generation, storage, tutoring, sync, and account access).
  • Enforce plan limits, security controls, abuse prevention, and fraud detection.
  • Improve feature quality, reliability, and model behavior.
  • Provide billing, subscription management, and support.

4. Public vs Private Content

Studies you mark as public are visible to others and may be indexed by search engines. Private studies are not publicly listed, but authorized collaborators may access them when approved.

5. Third-Party Processors

We use third-party providers to operate the service, including hosting/database infrastructure, AI model providers, authentication, and subscription/billing processors (including RevenueCat). These providers process data on our behalf under their own contractual and privacy terms.

6. Data Retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and related data where applicable.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data. You may also object to some processing activities where applicable law allows.

9. Children and Education Use

If local law requires parental or institutional consent for minors, users must obtain the required consent before using the service.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest revision.
